Utah trip

Us at Zion

Us on top of the conference center
Half of the grandkids and below is my beautiful new niece Brynn.

We just had a very fun week in Utah visiting friends and family. We spent 3 days with our good friends the Ellingons. They took us to Zion National Park which was so fun and beautiful. The kids had so much fun going on the hikes and seeing waterfalls. Then we headed to Springville and spent the rest of our trip with my brother Andy. He had a baby girl on leap day so we were there for her blessing. It was so nice to be able to spend some time with his family. My dad came up too so we had half of the grandkids there at once. Here are some pics from our trip.

Disneyland

A few weeks ago I took the kids to Disneyland with my dad, his wife, my sister, and all her kids. We had so much fun. Lexi went on every ride I went on including Space Mountain. Alli's favorite ride was the Matterhorn. She keeps asking me when we can go on it again. We spent one day at Disneyland and one day at California Adventure. There wasn't as much stuff for my kids to do at CA, but the electric parade made up for it. I think my sister and I were the most excited about that. We would get all excited and giddy if the princesses looked our way. My kids are terrified of people dressed as characters by the way. This was the only picture I could get of them with anyone.

Isaac loves me

He loves me so much that I finally got new appliances. Pay no attention to the white hood above the stove. We still have to replace that. I have been bugging him for years and he finally gave in. So far the fingerprints aren't bothering me, but we'll see how it goes. The only downside to these appliances is that Isaac and I did it all ourselves. We moved out the old and put in the new. I was fine until Isaac made me lift our old refrigerator. It was pretty heavy and I thought I broke my collar bone, but luckily I only got a cut.

Some random cuteness

Allison was so tired she fell asleep sitting up. It was so cute.
Isaac took all of us to work with hime one Saturday. This is the girls working in the conference room.
All the sudden, I stopped hearing the Jumperoo make noise so I checked on Aaron and this is what I found.
We curled the girls hair for church so we decided to take a family picture.

Snow day

We took the kids to the snow a few weeks ago. It was their first time. We had a fun day, but Lexi felt a little picked on. It was fun to throw snowballs at her because she would get so mad. I know, we're awful parents.

Funny, yet so sad

So it has been brought to my attention that I am a bad blogger. I never really do anything so I don't have anything to write about. I've decided to sacrifice Aaron in my blogging lull. For some reason, Isaac singing has a very sad effect on Aaron. It's so sad, but really hilarious. I hope you enjoy.

(No children or animals were hurt in the making of this video.)

River day

We took the kids and had lunch at the river yesterday. They had lots of fun playing with their cousins Kael, Emma, and Aiden. Isaac kept posing them so we got some cute pictures.

Christmas

We spent Christmas at my dad's house in California this year. My brother Andy and his family came from Utah also. It was fun to have so many cousins together. The picture above is of the kids Christmas morning. Aaron didn't even wake up until after everyone finished opening their presents.
Here are all the cousins that were together. They all played so well together the whole week. Lexi keeps asking to call her cousin Abbi because she misses her.
The girls thought it would be fun to ride Isaac so he decided to oblige them. Right after I took this picture they all came tumbling down. Thankfully no one was hurt.
We got gingerbread houses at Costco for 3 bucks on Christmas Eve, but we didn't let the kids make them until a few days after Christmas. As you can see, ours didn't do very well. I was trying to get the roof on when my hand went through it. The kids still wanted to eat it thank goodness. We had such a good time just hanging out with family this year. Maybe next year we can get more of our siblings in on the fun.

I got tagged!

Some Marriage Quiz

What is his name: Isaac Wayne Pember

How long have you been married: 5 years

How long did you date: 4 years

How old is he? 27

Who eats more? Definitely Isaac. My dad always called Isaac the garbage disposal because he always finished all the food. We never had leftovers.

Who said I love you first? Isaac did. To quote him he said, "I love you fool". I had that engraved on his wedding ring.

Who is taller? Isaac is. It seems like he keeps getting taller than me. I think I'm shrinking.

Who sings better? Neither of us are singers. We sure try in the car though.

Who is smarter? Isaac has the street smarts and I have the book smarts.

Whose temper is worse? Anyone who knows us knows it's Isaac for sure. He has calmed down over the years though thank goodness.

Who does the laundry? I do, everyday. The pile never seems to get smaller.

Who does the dishes? I do. I remember Isaac doing them once or twice when we were first married, but that ended pretty quickly.

Who sleeps on the right side of the bed? Isaac does right now. But no matter what side he's on at the time, he always wants to have my side.

Who cooks dinner? I usually do, but Isaac is a better cook.

Who drives when you are together? Isaac always wants to drive. I have to beat him to it and then he usually pouts the whole time I'm driving.

Who is more stubborn? Oh Isaac. I have to say I am the more laid back of the two of us.

Who is the first to admit when they are wrong? Isaac will, but he usually doesn't mean it. He just says it so we won't argue anymore.

Whose parents do you see the most? Isaac's mom lives 3 doors down from us.

Who has more friends? Isaac is friends with everyone. He still talks to everyone he knew in high school. I'm not very good at making grown up friends.

Who has more siblings? Isaac wins with 9. I only have 8.

Who wears the pants in the family? Isaac wears them, but I tell him which pants to wear.
